Officially Spring has sprung, the flowers are blossoming and everything is starting to wake up for the warm season – you need to do so and I’ll help you to get yourself feeling ready for spring and your hair, hence it’s one of the attributes you really want to shine!
With these 3 my favourite simple and quick DIY hair masks your hair will be fixed and ready to take in the sun rays – most of the ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen cupboards, just raid through them and LET’S GET STARTED!
- For soft, smooth and shiny hair
Keep the ready mask on your hair for 20 minutes and then rinse throughly!
1 spoon of avocado purée
2 spoons of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of honey
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and put on your hair, keep for 20 minutes and rinse well so there is no avocado left in your hair. It is a bit of runny hair mask and it can start dripping down so make sure you have a towel on your shoulders. Ideal for people with dry hair and hair that needs a bit of shine, isn’t happy!
2. For healthy, hydrated and shiny hair
Keep the mask on your hair for 60 minutes and then wash off!
1 mashed up banana
1/4 cup of honey
1/2 cup of yoghurt
Mix all the ingredients together into a paste, put on your hair and keep for 60 minutes and rinse off, ensure you comb your hair through because the banana can be a bit problematic to rinse off – but trust me it’s worth it! Your hair will look like there was no winter to dry it out and like it was never hid under a hat! 😊
This mask tends to go a bit runny so ensure you have the towel close by just like when trying the mask above!
3. To improve the overall condition of the hair and make the hair stronger
Keep the mask on damp hair for 15 minutes and then rinse!
1 cup of mixed pumpkin
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of natural yoghurt
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Warm up the coconut oil and mix all the ingredients together, put the mask on your hair and keep on damp hair for 15 minutes and then rinse off!
Due to high level of potassium and vitamin A this mask is ideal for all hair types and does wonders. Trust me!
Now your hair is ready for spring, let me know what other DIY masks are your favourite and why!
